Consigning to auction is easy with Westminster Auction Gallery.

We are a “no hidden fee firm.  We charge a flat rate commission and we are upfront about pick up fees and reserve fees.   Other auction houses charge for research, assesment, no-sale and more.  Westminster prides itself on being simple.  We make auctioning a 1 step process for you, the consignor.

Commission Rates and Fees

 

Westminster’s standard commission rates for a seller are:

Sum of lots sold totals $10 – $4,9999.99 = 25% commission

Sum of lots sold totals $5,000.00 to $9,999.99 = 20% commission

Sum of lots sold totals  over  $10,000.00 = 15% commission

 

Westminster charges a fee of $75.00 per hour for pickup and removal of consignment items with a one hour minimum. 

 

Westminster does its best with each and every consigned item to research and appraise the item.  It’s in our best interest to have every tool with which to sell it for as much as we can.  However, we do NOT offer formal appraisals on anything for free.   We appraise the following items in house for a fee:

Jewelry = $90.00 and a one week time frame  (the appraisal is performed by an independent bonded and licensed graduate gemologist associated with GIA and it’s yours to keep if you opt not to consign)

Coins = $50.00 per hour.  Estate Collection Assesment is a flat $250.00 plus $50.00 per hour over six hours of research time.

Watches = case by case basis,  average time for watch appraisal is 5-7 days.

Fine Art-  case by case basis.  Westminster contracts with local experts all over the state depending on the school/style/age of art.  

Stamps = $50 – $150 though Westminster highly advises allowing us to use a local stamp expert for assesment.  Same results, free service for y
